The Greek "Modern Aesclepions" seemed to be a strong concept ...

This is said by Professor Erkki Vauramo in an email sent today to Dimitrios Sotiriou of Greece, triggered by the information that:

The Dutch architect Carel Weeber and the Finnish architectural firm Harris-Kjisik have won the international architectural competition Healthcare 2025, respectively with ‘Big Bang’ en ‘Fair care – care fair’ (Utrecht, September 25 2007).

The proposal of the Finish architects is inspired by the Modern Asclepieions concepts put forward by DS of the School of Medicine of the University of Athens in 1994. You can read the Jury Report and the Winners
